    • Using a multidisciplinary team approach, including physicians, case managers, therapists and family members to collaborate on an effective therapeutic care plan.
    • Focusing on achieving maximal independent function optimized by periodic reviews with those providing service or care to the child.

Philosophy

katyphilos

Children's Therapy Corner is committed to helping children attain their highest level of independence by working with families as a team to create an honest and trusting environment that promotes learning and sharing.

Family members are recognized as key players within a multidisciplinary team and are encouraged to be involved in the the child's therapy program. With this level of involvement, the child's therapeutic gains are maximized, and the family learns how to advocate for the child's needs.

Code of Conduct

Treat Others with Uncompromising Truth
People deserve the truth. When they haven’t received it, they feel betrayed and disempowered.

Lavish Trust on Your Associates
People are trusted to take on new responsibilities, to ask questions and to carry out agreements.

Mentor Unselfishly
Mentoring is a sharing of information to the people we report to, to the people we work with, and to the people who report to us.

Be Receptive to New Ideas, Regardless of Their Origin
New ideas are the lifeblood of an organization. To be successful, a company must acknowledge that it cannot “see” everything.

Take Personal Risks for the Organization
People share valuable information with the group in order to protect and support the organization.

Give Credit Where It’s Due
People need to feel appreciated every day, and they need to see the fairness of the credit given.

Do Not Touch Dishonest Dollars
People feel pride in an organization built upon honesty and integrity.

Put the Interests of Others Before Your Own
Putting others first adds vitality to both the individual and the organization.

Director's Corner

JanetPortraitTo ‘see’ things differently.
To take risks.
To believe when all others question and doubt.
To dream and expect the unexpected.
Do you all realize that you are heroes?

One of the greatest benefits of being at Children’s Therapy Corner is being part of your lives and having the opportunity to talk to you, the families. You encourage us to go beyond, to search for new and different answers, new methods to help your children. To think out of the box!

As therapists, we may be the ones who spent some specialized time in universities to help your children, but you are the professionals who live the daily life and know what we can only assume. It is in partnership that we gain so much more TOGETHER.

We anticipate that this partnership will enhance your child’s development. To FOCUS on a dream, PLAN the route (with detours expected), and REACH a destiny together with support and awareness of the community in which you live. It may be a challenging dream, but with a vision and determination based on a great cause: Oh, the Places We’ll Go!
