Told with Tears of Joy

We Say

we-say

Our team approach at Children's Therapy Corner is not just about working together, but about working with families. Here are a few kudos from the staff at CTC:

"Shortly after I was hired, a family member asked why I’d chosen to work for Children’s Therapy Corner. “Isn’t it depressing to see all those high-needs kids?” “Not at all,” I replied. “As a matter of fact, working for CTC is a reminder that kids are kids, no matter what.” Each child deserves the chance to be as successful as possible. What a gift to work with folks who help that to occur everyday."

- Becky, CTC Office Manager

"One of the best parts of working at CTC is the feeling you get, the “high” or adrenaline rush, when walking out of a great therapy session; one where you and the child have worked hard to achieve goals."

-Children's Therapy Corner occupational therapist

"I love to work at Children’s Therapy Corner because of the kids. I love to see their excitement when they achieve what they have been working towards, and I love to listen to the therapists as they cheer each child on to success. Working in the administration department means I get little glimpses all day of sessions and interactions, and it is a joy to see each kid grow in both their abilities as well as their confidence."

-Sarah, CTC Administrative Assistant

"What I love most about CTC is the positive atmosphere and the joy we can bring into each child's life as they overcome challenges. The focus on having fun while growing and learning is the best part of each therapy session. I am so grateful to be a part of such an amazing team and working with extraordinary families!"

-Lauren, CTC Speech-Language Pathologist

"One of my favorite things about CTC is our Thursday Staff Meeting. Meetings??! I know, but bear with me! Each week we get to share successes made with our kids, big or small, they are celebrated. I think it fosters an amazing environment. The whole CTC family is constantly rooting for you and your kids and as a therapist it helps you to constantly push for change and growth."

"This is a place where you can find people who are truly passionate for helping children. People who don't know what "give up" means. Never giving up and always pushing forward to achieve more. This is a place where kids can feel safe, have fun and always want to come back. At CTC not only do we see the lives of children changing but where the children change our lives on a daily basis. Everyday I am so grateful to be a part of Children's Therapy Corner."

— Lindsey, CTC speech and language therapist

"When I first started working at CTC over six years ago, I don't think I realized what a wonderful place I was walking into. I knew I wanted a place that geared only toward children in which I could work one-on-one and be involved with the families. What I found was so much more than that. I found a group of individuals who not only care so deeply for the children they work with, but also care for the other therapists, and truly strive to work as a team. I have learned so much in my time here and look forward to the ongoing growth and knowledge that CTC will bring. I can't imagine myself working anywhere else!"

— Tracy, CTC speech and language therapist

"CTC allows me, as a physical therapist, the opportunity to treat the child as a whole person, while being part of a team. The team is not worried about only their discipline-specific goals, but is concerned with allowing the child to reach his or her maximum potential possible as a person. Working here lets me help kids achieve miracles both big and small. There is no better way to make a living."

— Adam, CTC physical therapist

"I love having a music therapist on our interdisciplinary team. When we co-lead sessions, I notice that the children are much more motivated to push themselves when working with such things as fine motor control and range of motion activities."

JanetPortraitTo ‘see’ things differently.
To take risks.
To believe when all others question and doubt.
To dream and expect the unexpected.
Do you all realize that you are heroes?

One of the greatest benefits of being at Children’s Therapy Corner is being part of your lives and having the opportunity to talk to you, the families. You encourage us to go beyond, to search for new and different answers, new methods to help your children. To think out of the box!

As therapists, we may be the ones who spent some specialized time in universities to help your children, but you are the professionals who live the daily life and know what we can only assume. It is in partnership that we gain so much more TOGETHER.

We anticipate that this partnership will enhance your child’s development. To FOCUS on a dream, PLAN the route (with detours expected), and REACH a destiny together with support and awareness of the community in which you live. It may be a challenging dream, but with a vision and determination based on a great cause: Oh, the Places We’ll Go!
